The Course
Using both primary and secondary sources, the seminar will examine Baroque art in relation to contemporary art theory in the 17th and early 18th centuries. Prerequisite: Survey 16

Student Responsibilities
Each seminar participant is responsible for producing Five Seminar Reports on topics indicated in the Schedule. Reports A, B, C, and D will take the form of a 5 to 8 page paper (plus bibliography). Report E will take the form of an 8 to 10 page paper (plus bibliography). Each report which will be presented to the seminar for discussion (together with pertinent web-based images).
Grading
Seminar Reports A, B, C each = 20%
Seminar Report D = 15%
Seminar Report E = 25%
