Student Responsibilities
 
- Active class participation, which includes being prepared for each class, asking questions, and taking part in discussion.
 - Read all the assignments before class meets, as indicated on the schedule
 - Attend all class meetings
 - Takes notes in class and make notes while reading the textbook
  
Exams
 
- Three non-cumulative exams (February 19, April 2, and May 5)
  
Paper
- One research paper on a topic selected from a list posted on April 9
 - Paper due April 28
  
Grading
- First Exam = 20%
 - Second Exam = 20%
 - Third Exam = 20%
 - Paper = 30%
