Student Responsibilities

  • Active class participation, which includes being prepared for each class, asking questions, and taking part in discussion.
  • Read all the assignments before class meets, as indicated on the schedule
  • Attend all class meetings
  • Takes notes in class and make notes while reading the textbook

Exams

  • Three non-cumulative exams (February 19, April 2, and May 5)
Paper
  • One research paper on a topic selected from a list posted on April 9
  • Paper due April 28
Grading
  • First Exam = 20%
  • Second Exam = 20%
  • Third Exam = 20%
  • Paper = 30%
  • Attendance and Participation = 10%
